Usually, most of cultural heritages are given a rare treat over time. On the other side packaging methods filled with cultural characteristics and the ancestral wisdom are forgotten. In the contemporary market, packaging design of egg has been focusing on physical damage. Rice straw cultural of our ancestors wisdom disappeared. Find out the history of the egg packaging is very important for modern society. The egg package design methods of our wise ancestor was not only concentrated on general purpose for prevent damage. They have fully realized the fuction about package design. Just package design should be solved the desire of physical and aesthetic and information communication function. 전통 문화 유산들은 시간이 갈수록 귀한 대접을 받는다. 반면 선조의 지혜와 여러 문화적 특성이 담긴 포장방식들은 잊혀지고 있는 것도 현실이다. 현대 시장에서 계란 포장 디자인은 보관 및 운반 시 파손 등 물리적 기능에만 치중되어 있어 지혜 깊은 우리의 옛 조상들의 짚 문화는 사라진 실정이다. 과거 계란 포장이 어떤 방식으로 이루어 졌는지 계란 포장 역사를 돌아보고, 우리 조상들의 포장디자인 역사에 대한 고찰은 의미가 크겠다. 계란의 파란 방지만을 위한 일반적 현대 포장디자인에 편중되지 않고, 우리 조상들의 옛 감각을 통해 기능성은 물론 문화적 특성 그리고 친환경 패키지 디자인에 고찰이 필요했기 때문이다.
