Due to excessive zeal for education, today's Korean education is highlighted as a mere vehicle to go after personal dreams, though it should basically pursue the perfection of human beings. Under the circumstances, the moral principal of caring that accentuates community ethics like interpersonal ties is very integral for school education. In fact, however, school education fails to inspire students with what's pursued by an ethic of care, and there aren't any changes in school system that could lead to new moral education. The purpose of this study was to delve into what made it difficult to apply the ethic of care from a viewpoint of post-Maxism, and to explore if there's any chances to actualize the ethic of care. After theories on the ethic of care were reviewed, school education was discussed from a standpoint of post- Maxism, and then whether or not it's possible to embody the ethic of care in school education and what problems it might be faced with were studied.

오늘날의 한국교육은 인간의 완성이라는 교육의 본질적 과제에 충실하기보다는 과도한 교육열 속에서 개인적 소유 실현을 위한 교육의 수단적 가치에만 몰두하는 현상을 보이고 있다. 그런 점에서 인간적 유대와 배려 같은 공동체 윤리를 중시하는 ‘보살핌’적 도덕원리는 학교교육에 매우 중요한 의미를 지닌다. 그러나 현실 학교교육에서는 보살핌 윤리가 지향하는 도덕이 제대로 실현되지 못하고 있으며, 새로운 도덕교육의 대안으로 제도적인 변화를 이끌어내지 못하고 있는 실정이다. 본 연구에서는 그러한 보살핌 윤리의 적용과 실현이 왜 어려운지를 포스트 마르크스 이론적 관점에서 분석하는 한편, 보살핌 윤리 실현의 가능성도 탐색하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 첫째, 보살핌 윤리의 이론적 배경을 살펴보고 둘째, 포스트 마르크스 이론적 관점에서의 학교교육에 대한 논의를 통해 셋째, 학교교육에서 보살핌 윤리의 실현 가능성과 한계를 탐색하였다.
