The objective of this study is that we present plans for applying big data to defense industries in Korea. To do this, we analyze application cases focused on big data’s role, insight, respectiveness, competitiveness, creativity which recently use in various areas and defense industries in Korea. It is essential that we make a quantitative decision-making through big data analysis of defense industries in Korea and we have to create continuously new value with big data. This contributes greatly to the national defense by promoting productivity and efficiency of organization.

본 연구는 한국 방위산업에서의 빅데이터 활용방안을 제시하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이를 위해 최근 다양한 영역에서 활용되고 있는 빅데이터의 역할인 통찰력, 대응력, 경쟁력, 창조력을 중심으로 활용사례를 분석하고, 향후 한국 방위산업에서 활용 가능한 방안을 탐색적으로 연구하였다. 한국 방위산업에서도 빅데이터 분석을 통한 정량적인 의사결정은 필수적이며, 이를 통한 새로운 가치를 지속적으로 창출해야만 조직의 생산성과 효율성을 높여 국가방위에 이바지할 것이다.
