This study aims to perform a comparative analysis of the effects of peace, citizen capability, government capability, and income on happiness with 32 nations. Peace is measured by utilizing the World Peace Index developed by the World Peace Forum, and happiness is measured by Quality of life index(QLI) developed by Nationranking. Citizen capability and government capability is measured by scores of KPMG INTERNATIONAL & Oxford Economics. The results of the regression analysis is that the citizen capability has the largest effect on hapiness(.487), socio-economic Peace has the second largest effect(.362), and the GDP per Capita has the third effect(.343). The government capability has the negative effect(-.253). The level of happiness is in the order of Japan, Korea, the Philipines, and China. The level of peace is in the order of Japan, Korea, China, and the Philipines. The level of peace and government capability is in the order of Japan, Korea, the Philipines, and China. The Philipines shows a little higher level of hapiness, citizen capability and government capability than those of China so called G2.

본 연구는 한국, 미국, 중국, 일본, 필리핀 등을 포함한 32개국을 선정하여 평화, 시민능력, 정부능력, 소득과 행복의 영향관계를 실증적으로 분석하였다. 세계평화포럼(World Peace Forum)의 세계평화지수 2013년 자료를 사용하여 국내정치, 군사․외교, 사회․경제부문의 평화를 종합하여 평화의 측정변수로 사용하였으며, 시민능력과 정부능력은 KPMG INTERNATIONAL & Oxford Economics가 조사하는 자료를 활용하였다. Nationranking의 ‘삶의 질 지수(Quality of life index, QLI)’ 자료를 사용하여 행복 수준을 측정하였다. 회귀분석 결과, 시민능력이 0.487로 가장 큰 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 그 다음으로 평화수준은 0.362, 1인당 GDP는 0.343의 순으로 영향을 미치고 있었다. 정부능력은 -.253으로 부정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 행복수준은 일본, 한국, 필리핀, 그리고 중국 순으로 나타났다. 평화수준은 일본, 한국, 중국 그리고 필리핀 순이다. 시민능력과 정부능력은 일본, 한국, 필리핀, 그리고 중국 순이었다. 필리핀의 행복수준, 시민능력, 그리고 정부능력이 G2라 불리 우는 중국보다는 약간 높은 것으로 나타났다.
