The purpose of this study was to explore the current status of Christian university student’s exposure to sexually explicit internet material and to analyze the effects and correlations between the meaning in life and faith maturity when the students were exposed to sexually explicit internet material. Factors considered, when one is exposed to sexually explicit internet material, were split into five categories: the duration of religious life; negative attitude due to non-volitional exposure ; defensive attitude due to non-volitional exposure; volitional exposure ; and afterimage due to volitional exposure. 469 Christian university students participated in a survey questionnaire which was then analyzed using SPSS 22.0. Descriptive statistics, factor analysis, analysis of frequency, correlation analysis, and regression analysis were carried out based on the survey questionnaire. The results were as follows: first, 86.6% of the subjects had experienced some degree of exposure to sexually explicit internet material, with 44.7% of the subjects having been exposed to sexually explicit internet material during their middle school years, and 48.4% being exposed mainly via SMS. The exposure to sexually explicit internet material was widespread. Secondly, correlation between meaning in life and faith maturity was not statistically significant. However, negative attitude due to exposure to sexually explicit internet material had a significant impact upon faith maturity. Finally, the characteristics and traits in one’s meaning in life had a significant impact on faith maturity. It had an intermediary role; a presence of positive meaning influenced faith maturity.

인터넷 음란물 노출과 접촉 경험이 기독교대학생에게 미치는 영향은 중요한 의미를 가지고 있음에도 불구하고 실증적인 연구가 부족하다 .본 연구는 인터넷 음란물 노출과 접촉경험이 삶의 의미와 신앙성숙도에 미치는 영향을 살펴보고자 하였다. 이를 위해 인터넷에서 기독교대학생의 음란물 노출 실태가 어떠한지를 살펴보고, 인터넷 음란물 노출에 따른 접촉 경험이 삶의 의미와 신앙성숙도에 미치는 요인과 영향력에 관한 상관관계를 분석하고자 하였다. 인터넷 음란물 접촉 경험의 변인은 신앙연륜, 비자발적 접촉에 따른 부정적 태도, 비자발적 접촉에 따른 방어적 태도, 자발적 접촉, 자발적 접촉에 따른 잔상으로 구분하여 분석하였다. 본 연구는 기독교대학생 469명을 대상으로 설문조사를 하였고, SPSS 22.0을 사용하여 분석하였다. 본 연구는 기술통계, 변인 분석, 빈도 분석, 신뢰도 분석, 상관관계 분석, 회귀분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째 전체 대학생자의 86.5%(406명)가 음란물에 노출되었다고 응답하였고, 연구자의 첫 음란물 노출 시기는 중학생이 44.7%로 상당수를 차지하였고, 주된 음란물 노출 경로는 SNS가 48.4%를 차지하여 인터넷 음란물 노출이 광범위하게 이루어지고 있음을 밝혔다. 둘째, 인터넷 음란물 노출 접촉 경험에 따른 삶의 의미와 신앙성숙도의 관계에서 기독교대학생이 비자발적으로 노출된 음란물에 대해 부정적 태도를 취할수록 삶의 의미 추구 점수가 높았다. 그러나 삶의 의미와 신앙성숙도에는 무의미하게 나타났다. 셋째, 신앙연륜이 삶의 의미의 하위요인인 삶의 의미 추구, 삶의 의미 발견, 신앙성숙에 미치는 영향을 회귀로 분석한 결과, 신앙연륜은 기독교대학생의 삶의 의미 추구나 삶의 의미 발견에 영향을 미치지 못하였다. 그러나 삶의 의미 발견은 신앙성숙도와의 사이에서 매개역할을 수행하는 것으로 나타났다. 인터넷 음란물의 노출 접촉 경험 시 기독교대학생에게 형성된 삶의 의미 발견은 신앙성숙에 긍정적인 영향을 미침을 보여준다. 이는 본 연구의 실태에서 드러난 광범위한 인터넷 음란물의 노출 접촉 경험 시 기독교대학생에게 형성된 삶의 의미 발견은 신앙성숙에 긍정적인 영향을 미침을 보여준다.
