This paper aims at examining 'Unhwa and Wolhwa' that were shaped as wicked women in . The women, who were QinHui's wife, Nokju and Mansasul’s wife, Myungju, who originally brought Akbi(Yue Fei) to death, were characters who constantly conflicted with Akmunyong, reincarnation of Akbi(Yue Fei) by reincarnating to Unhwa and Wolhwa, princesses of Yuan Dynasty. In , with consistent direction of narrative by placing the sign that the action of Unhwa and Wolhwa indicated evil connection of past life everywhere of work, it was utilized effectively in ensuring the rightfulness of disciplinary punishment against two people. Evil connection of past life was the inherent problem that Unhwa and Wolhwa had no choice but to be wicked, but the obsession with the relationship was called the direction of evil actions brought to desire of the women. Within the narrative of , though the tricks that Unhwa and Wolhwa committed were obvious evil actions, the characters as wicked women were diluted. The voices of the women included melancholy emotion, and the melancholy raised a certain sympathy in that it did not come from the fault of women themselves. Also in terms of women obsessed with relationship, apart from actions of the two women, Unhwa and Wolhwa were closer to foolish women rather than cruel wicked women. This impression was emphasized through the process of being ridiculed or caricatured rather than being seriously defeated. Finally, Unhwa and Wolhwa of seemed to accommodate the part of traditional wicked shape who appeared in novels or hero fiction, but to show the difference in specific shaping process. Evil actions in began with family internal problems called relationship. However, this was not incorporated into family and it was constantly shaped in the national conflict because of the inherent fate of Unhwa and Wolhwa. This point made the shape of the wicked in more colorful and solid.

본고에서는 <운수지>에서 악녀로 형상화되고 있는 ‘운화와 월화’를 살피는 것을 목적으로 하고 있다. 그녀들은 원래 악비를 죽음에 이르게 한 진회의 부인 녹주와 만사설의 부인인 명주로, 원나라의 공주인 운화와 월화로 환생함으로써 악비의 환생인 악문용 등과 지속적으로 대립을 벌이는 인물들이다. <운수지>에서는 운화 월화의 행위가 전생의 악연임을 알리는 표지를 작품의 작품 곳곳에 배치함으로써 서사의 방향을 일관되게 하는 한편, 두 사람에 대한 징치의 정당성을 확보하는데도 효율적으로 활용하고 있다. 전생에서의 악연이 운화 월화가 악인이 될 수밖에 없는 태생적 문제라면, 결연에 대한 집착은 그녀들의 욕망이 빚어낸 악행의 방향이라고 할 수 있다. <운수지> 서사 내에서는 운화 월화가 저지르는 계교들이 분명 악행임에도 불구하고 악녀로서의 성격이 희석화되어 있다. 그녀들의 목소리에는 처연한 감정이 들어 있는데, 이 처연함은 그녀들 스스로의 잘못에서 비롯된 것이 아니라는 점에서 일정한 공감을 불러일으킨다. 또한 결연에 목매는 여성이라는 점에서 운화와 월화는 그녀들이 벌인 행위와는 별개로 잔인무도한 악녀라기보다는 어리석은 여성에 더 가깝다. 이러한 인상은 그녀들이 심각한 패배를 당하기보다 조롱거리 혹은 희화화되는 과정을 통해 강조된다. 마지막으로 <운수지>의 운화화 월화는 장편소설이나 영웅소설에서 나타난 전통적 악인의 형상을 일부분 수용하는 모습을 보이지만 그 구체적 형상화에서 차이를 보이고 있음을 알 수 있었다. 운수지의 악행은 결연이라는 가정 내적 문제로 시작되고 있지만 이것이 가정 내로 편입되지 못하고 운화와 월화가 지닌 태생적 운명으로 인해 지속적으로 국가 대립 안에서 형상화되고 있다. 이 지점이 <운수지>의 악인의 형상을 더욱 다채롭고 입체적으로 만들고 있다.
