This research is conducted to analyze trend for university student's ability through overseas volunteer activity. The targets of study are 152 domestic university students who have participated World Friend Korea Youth Midterm Overseas Volunteer Program. According to the research problems, the collected data is for searching the trend for personal growth ability and global leadership between before and after overseas volunteer activity. We use SPSS/PC(win 21.0) program to investigate frequency and percentage of survey data and to analyze the relationship between personal growth ability and global leadership using Pearson’s product-moment correlation coefficient and regression analysis. The result of the study shows that overseas volunteer activity make remarkable progress in citizenship, receptive capacity of different culture, challenge, passion, diversity and global understanding.

이 연구는 대학생들의 해외봉사활동 사전 사후 개인성장 역량과 글로벌 역량에 대한 분석을 통해 해외봉사활동이 후기 청소년기에 미치는 영향을 분석하고 이를 토대로 보다 효율적인 해외봉사활동 프로그램 콘텐츠개발에 기초를 얻기 위해 실시하였다. 연구대상은 한국대학사회봉사협의회가 지난해 8월부터 올 1월까지 6개월간 파견한 월드 프렌즈 청년중기봉사단원 152명을 중심으로 봉사활동 사전 사후 설문조사를 실시하여 역량변화에 수집된 자료는 연구문제에 따라 SPSS/ PC(win 21.0) 프로그램을 사용하였고 빈도와 백분율, pairwise t-test 그리고 상관관계를 알아보기 위해 Pearson의 적률상관계수를 산출하였으며, 회귀분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과 사전․사후 개인성장 역량 차이분석에 있어서 자아인식역량, 목표지향성역량, 리더십역량 등에서는 사전 사후 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 나지 않았다. 그러나 상호작용역량의 경우 상대방에 대한 소통과 이해 능력, 상대방에 대한 의견수용 등은 사전보다 사후가 높게 나타났다. 따라서 봉사활동을 통해 시민성능력은 크게 향상되는 것으로 조사되었다. 글로벌 역량의 경우 봉사활동을 통하여 이문화 수용능력, 도전감과 열정, 다양성과 세계이해력 등은 제고되나 글로벌 진로결정성은 차이를 보이지 않는 것으로 조사되었다. 또한 전문가집단회의를 통하여 중기봉사단 개선방안을 도출하였다.
