This study examined whether the impact of economic satisfaction on health satisfaction for the elderly with chronic disease was moderated by the Basic-Old Age Pension Situation. Total 866 analytic sample was generated from the Korean Longitudinal Study of Aging, Wave 2. The results indicated that the economic satisfaction had a significant impact upon the health satisfaction among the elderly with chronic disease. The relationship between economic and health satisfaction was, furthermore, moderated by the eligibility of the Basic-Old Age Pension. Specifically, the impact of economic satisfaction on health satisfaction was much more stronger for the elderly, which were suffering from chronic disease, with the Basic-Old Age Pension than those without the Pension benefit. The policy implication of elderly welfare was discussed.

본 연구는 만성질환 노인들을 대상으로 경제만족이 건강만족에 미치는 영향에 있어 기초노령연금수급여부에 따라 어떻게 달라지는 지를 살펴보고자하였다. 분석대상은 제2차 고령화연구패널 참여대상자 가운데 만성질환자이면서 기초노령연금 수급이 가능한 70세 이상 노인 866명으로 하였고, 이들의 경제만족도가건강만족도에 미치는 영향에 있어 기초노령연금 수급 여부의 조절효과를 규명하기 위해 다중회귀분석을 실시하였다. 분석결과 만성질환 노인의 경제만족도는 건강만족도에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났고, 만성질환 노인의 기초노령연금 수급 여부는 경제만족도가 건강만족도에 미치는 영향력에 조절효과를 갖는것으로 나타났다. 즉 기초노령연금을 수급하는 만성질환 노인의 경우 경제만족도가 건강만족도에 미치는영향이 기초노령연금을 수급하지 않는 경우보다 더 강력한 것으로 나타났다. 이는 현행 기초연금제도의 실행, 나아가 노인복지정책의 방향성을 위한 기초자료로 활용될 수 있을 것이다.
