On account of the increasing number of cattle heads per a cattle shed and the increasing amount of coffee bean, the waste amount of cattle manure and used coffee grounds also increases. Although the cattle manure and coffee grounds are still used as materials for composting, liquefied fertilizer, bio gasification or diesel and so on, various treatment or recycling methods are needed for the stable disposal system. In this study, thus, availability of the mixture of cattle manure and used coffee grounds as a solid refuse fuel (SRF) are investigated with the proximate and ultimate analyses, heating values, and heavy metal contents in accordance with quality criteria for solid fuel product in Korea. The results show that all of analysis items of the mixture meet the criteria.

가축 사육 두수와 커피콩의 이용량 증가에 의해 가축 분뇨와 커피 찌꺼기 또한 증가하고 있다. 현재 가축 분뇨와 커피 찌꺼기를 퇴비, 액화 비료, 바이오 가스화 또는 디젤 등의 원료로 사용하고 있지만, 더욱 안정적인 처리 시스템의 구축을 위해서는 다양한 처리 또는 재활용 방법이 필요하다. 이에 본 연구에서는, 가축 분뇨와 커피찌꺼기의 혼합물을 고형폐기 물연료(SRF)로서 활용하고자 우리나라의 고형폐기물연료의 품질기준으로 제시하고 있는 3성분 분석, 원소 분석, 발열량 분석과 중금속 함량 분석을 실시하였다. 그 결과, 혼합물에 대해 실시한 모든 분석 항목에서 품질기준을 충족하는 것으로 나타났다.
