This paper is to study Yamgmingxue and publicness(公共性, gōnggòngxìng). In other words, this issues are what is public interest recognized in Wang Yangming and Yamgmingxue. In our society, publicness and public philosophy discussions, in many forms, have been conducted. Meanwhile, there has been also partly a discussion publicness in Yamgmingxue. In fact, even in Yangming, Yangmingxue and Yanming School has a lot of awareness of the publicness. But there was no research has focused on this issue. So, in this paper, I want to discuss Yangming and publicness issues. In the Yangmingxue is not the type to follow without doubt the eternal truth, so called given the eternal universal principles(定理, dìnglǐ). Wang Yangming realized the mind is principle. This is the famous theory xīnjílǐ(心卽 理). And also this is a philosophical thesis of his philosophy. Based on this, he declared universal principles are dead. At last he got rid of pre-existing of universal principles(理) spoken in zhūzǐxué(朱子學). The Mind(心) of human occupied the place of apriority, the transzendental, of truth disappeared. So all the principles are created in our mind. Publicness, according to the Wang Yangming, is also created in independent thinking and human behavior, the Mind(心) of human. Everything starts from me. And everything is a work by the subject.

이 논문은 양명학과 공공성에 대해서 논의하려는 것이다. 이 주제는 ‘양명학은 공공성 에 대해 어떤 인식을 가지고 있는가?’라는 내용으로 바꿀 수도 있을 것이다. 지금까지 우 리 사회에서는 여러 형태로 공공성(publicness, publicity), 공공철학(Public Philosophy) 논의가 진행되어 왔다. 이런 가운데 부분적으로 양명학의 공공성 논의도 부분적으로 있 어왔다. 실제로 왕양명 나아가서 동아시아 양명학자들에게 ‘공공(公共)’ 혹은 공공성에 관련한 의미 있는 논의들은 많다. 그런데 양명학에 내재하는 공공성의 문제에 집중한 연 구는 보기 드물었다. 따라서 이 논문에서는 하나의 시론으로서 양명학과 공공성 문제를 거론해보고자 한다. 양명학에서는 영원불변한 진리 즉 ‘정리(定理)’를 누구나 의심 없이 따르는 형태의 공공 을 상정하지 않았다. 왕양명은 심즉리(心卽理)’를 주창함으로써 ‘사물과 인간에 앞서서 존재하는 고정불변의 이치(理)는 죽었다!’는 것을 선언한다. 말하자면 진리의 선험성(先 驗性)을 허물어버리고 출발한다. 이치는 ‘나의 심(心)’에서 구성・창출되어 나오는 것이 다. 이 논문에서는 양명학에 보이는 예들을 기초로 공공성이라는 주제를 먼저,｢선험적 이 치[定理]의 해체와 ‘주체’의 확립｣을, 이어서｢양명학과 공공성 인식｣과｢‘나’로부터 시작 하는 공공성 ｣이라는 순서로 논의할 것이다. 이러한 논의를 통해서 양명학에서는 모든 것이 ‘나’부터 시작하며, 공공성의 논의도 예 외가 아님을 살펴볼 수 있을 것이다.
