The purpose of this study is to identify the important role of physical environment of duty-free shops in downtown in Korea. For this, it focused on knowing some influences of physical environment on Chinese tourists' emotional response. Then, it also figured out whether Chinese tourists' emotional response had significant effects on their behavioral intention. The results of the study were as follow: first, it appeared that physical environment of duty-free shops in downtown had a strong influence on Chinese tourists' emotional response. Second, it also indicated that Chinese tourists' emotional response caused by physical environments increased their behavioral intention.
