The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of participation motivation of continuing professional education on life satisfaction in dental hygienists. The self-administered structured questionnaire was used with a sample 276 persons of dental hygienists. Data were collected using a self questionnaire from 11 October to 15 November, 2014. The participation motivation of continuing professional education were measured 18 items and divided 4 factors and perceived activity and satisfaction of life were measured using the 5-items respectively. Data were analyzed by SPSS and AMOS program. The overall fitness of the hypothesis model to the data were good by =11.878, p<0.001, GFI=0.986, CFI=0.981, IFI=0.982, AGFI=0.950, RNR=0.031, RESEA=0.061. The internal participation motivation factor of continuing professional education revealed direct effect and total effect on satisfaction of life and the explanation power was 50.1%. Through these results, in order to improve the Internal participation motivation factor of continuing professional education, it is necessary to develop the ability intervention program for the personnel. It is also indispensable to enhance the perceived activity.
