Today's society is celebrating a knowledge-based information society. As a result, the need for competency-based human resource development is desperately increased. Especially, the private Christian university need to develop the curriculum for "Character and Work Ethic," as a required courses in Department of General Education. By developing teaching materials for character and work ethic and verifying their effectiveness, it will be able for the private Christian university to enforce better education. Therefore, the first part of this study is to introduce the theoretical background used in the materials development process for the course of 'Character and Work Ethic.' The second part of the study is to investigate the effectiveness of the new materials for character and work ethic and to investigate the students' recognition of the character and work ethic through pre and post test in relation to the effectiveness of teaching materials used for the second semester 2015.

오늘날 우리사회는 지식기반의 정보화 사회를 맞이하면서 능력중심의 인재개발에 대한 필요성이 절실하게 요구되고 있는 사회이다. 특별히 기독교사립대학 내에서 운영되고 있는 교양과 필수과목인 ‘인성 및 직업윤리’와 관련하여 교재를 개발하고 그 효과성을 검증함으로써, 보다 나은 교육을 시행할 수 있게 될 것이다. 따라서 본 연구는 먼저 ‘인성 및 직업윤리’ 과목에 대한 교재 개발 과정에서 사용된 이론적 배경을 소개하고, 다음으로 2015학년도 2학기에 사용 중인 ‘인성 및 직업윤리’교재의 효과성과 관련하여 대학생들의 인성에 대한 인식실태를 사전·사후테스트를 통해 검증해보고자 한다.
