After the recent ‘Healing Syndrome’ of the Korea society, we have frequently heard the terms healing ministry and therapeutic (healing) preaching. As healing ministry for the Gospel was one of the essential ministries of Jesus, we should not overlook its importance. This paper examines the location of so-called therapeutic (healing) preaching in sermon classification. For this purpose, I suggest two types of contextual preaching: social contextual preaching and congregational contextual preaching. I research a new trend of therapeutic (healing) preaching, rooted in counseling preaching, in Korean churches. Through research, I found that counseling preaching only focuses on soul (mind) healing. However, some recent therapeutic (healing) preaching in Korean church aims to heal the spirit, soul, and body. At last, I address how the therapeutic (healing) preaching can be an important preaching method for more effective preaching ministry for Korean preachers of the 21st century.

최근 한국 사회의 이른바 ‘힐링’ 열풍 이후로 치유목회, 혹은 치유설교 라는 용어가 자주 들려오고 있다. 치유 사역은 예수님께서 세상에 복음 전파를 위해 하셨던 중요한 사역의 하나인바 오늘날 교회의 사역에 있어서도 그 중요성은 간과 되서는 안 된다. 본 소고는 이른바 치유설교가 설교의 분류상 어떤 위치에 있을까를 진단해 보는 것을 목적으로 한다. 그것을 위해 상황설교를 사회적 상황 설교와 회중상황 설교로 구분 하며 기존의 상담설교에서 좀 더 분화 및 발전되어 가고 있는 한국교회 치유설교에 대해 살펴본다. 즉 기존의 상담설교는 주로 혼(정서)적인 측면의 치유에 집중하였다고 하면 최근의 치유설교 는 영, 혼, 육의 치유, 소위 전인치유를 그 목적으로 행해지는 경우도 있음을 주목하면서 기존의 상담설교와 동의어 식으로 취급되었던 치유설교가 이제 조금은 다른 뉘앙스로 자리 메김 하고 있음을 살펴본다. 그러면서 21세기 한국교회 설교자들의 효과적인 설교사역을 위해 상황설교의 하나인 치유설교가 여러 대안 중의 하나가 될 수 있음을 제안해 본다.
