This study aims to examine the dimensions of successful implementation of ERP systems, and how the ERP implementation affects firm performance as focusing on Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) in Vietnam is a good case in point. We proposed a modified framework based on the IS Success Model and developed our hypotheses. The results from an online survey of 402 respondents revealed that ERP system implementation successfully enhanced the firm performance indirectly through the effects of organizational capability and competitive advantage, in which individual impact showed the strongest effect. We further found that, business sector and firm age were found to have moderating effects in the conceptual framework.
