To carry out positive analysis on factors in making influences on the maritime police officials’ job commitment and self-efficacy, this study conducted survey and analyzed actual influence before converting into statistical visualization. After analysis, we found that the variable influencing to both job commitment of dependent variable and self-efficacy is a public service motivation and a degree of gaining social support and the least influential variable is environment and stress of job. Unlike previous studies showing that job stress equally influences public organizations and private sectors’ workers such as airlines, it is a meaningful achievement that job stress actually has nothing to do with the maritime police officials. Although this achievement has gained academical and administrative undertones on influential factors to the maritime police official’s job commitment and self-efficacy, we suggest further studies need to be followed because this study turned out that microscopic approach confined to the certain group and independent variable adopted are too insufficient theoretical foundation to generalize as a conclusion of studies.

본 연구는 해양경찰공무원의 직무몰입과 자기효능감에 영향을 미치는 요인에 대한 실증적 분석을 위해 해경본부 및 일선 해양경비안전서에 근무하는 해양경찰공무원을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하고 통계적으로 어떠한 영향을 미치는 지를 분석하였다. 분석결과 종속변수 직무몰입과 자기효능감에 공통적으로 유의미한 영향을 미치는 변수는 공공봉사동기와 사회적지지 요인이며 영향을 미치지 않는 변수는 직무스트레스와 직무환경2 요인인 것으로 나타났다. 특히 직무스트레스의 경우 공공기관이나 항공사 등 사기업에 종사하는 조직원들에게 영향을 미친다는 선행연구와 달리 분석결과 해양경찰공무원의 경우 별 영향을 받지 않는다는 것을 발견한 것은 의미 있는 연구 성과라 할 수 있다. 이러한 연구결과를 통해 해양경찰공무원의 직무몰입과 자기효능감에 영향을 미치는 요인들에 대한 학술적,정책적 함의를 얻었음에도 본 연구에서는 특정된 일부를 연구대상으로 한 미시적 접근이나 채택한 독립변수가 연구 결론으로 일반화하기에는 이론적 토대가 부족하다는 점 등을 고려한 추가적 연구가 필요할 것이다.
