Foreign language dictionary is the cornerstone not only to understand foreign culture but also to do foreign studies. It also is the compass to get correct direction for research. Once the cornerstone is wrong, the building can't stand firm. If the compass doesn't work well, the way can't be decided correctly. This paper presents the analysis of the problems of the current Portuguese-Korean dictionaries from the point of view of the users and the editors, and proposes an improvement thereof. First we conducted a brief survey to derive problems from the user side, by investigating the use status and purposes. It will enable them to be reflected in real improvements works. In particular, the paper shows the results of analysis focused on the online dictionaries, Naver Portuguese-Korean Dictionary and Daum Portuguese-Korean Dictionary. These are the results: lack of words, lack of examples of expressions, incorrect description, use of anachronistic words, absence of type of words, etc. Based on the analysis of the problems in the online dictionaries, our works direct to realize “The Correct Portuguese-Korean Dictionary Project”.

Dicionário de língua estrangeira é uma pedra-base não só para compreender a cultura estrangeira, mas também para fazer estudos estrangeiros. É também a bússola para obter direção correta para realizar uma pesquisa sobre os estudos. Uma vez que a pedra-base é colocada errado, o edifício não pode permanecer firme. Se a bússola não funcionar bem, o caminho não poderá ser corretamente decidido. Este artigo apresenta a análise dos problemas dos atuais dicionários português- coreano a partir do ponto de vista dos usuários e dos editores, e propõe uma melhoria dos dicionários. Primeiro, realizamos uma breve enquete para compreender problemas do ponto de vista do usuário, através das pesquisas sobre situações e propósitos de usos dos dicionários. Isso irá possibilitar os resultados serem aplicados nos melhoramentos dos dicionários. Em particular, o artigo mostra os resultados da análise sobre os dicionários online, Naver Dicionário Português-Coreano e Daum Dicionário Português-Coreano. Os resultados são os seguintes: falta de palavras, falta de exemplos de expressões, descrição incorreta, uso de palavras anacrônicas, ausência de tipo de palavras, etc. Com base na análise dos problemas dos dicionários online, nosso trabalho dirige-se para realizar o Projeto “Fazer o Dicionário Correto Português-Coreano”
