This study analyzed for the possibility of a change in China's foreign aid to identify the characteristics and meaning of China's foreign aid policy. China is the biggest recipient state of ODA from the Western countries, and the one that runs ODA business targeting the third world countries at the same time ever since it started its retorming and open-door policy. This could be an important research to help understand the international aid system. China is a major aid donor to developing countries, including Africa, Asia and North Korea. It can have a significant impact on reforming and opening up of North Korea. To understand the foreign aid system in China, it can be a very meaningful research.

본 연구는 중국의 대외원조정책의 특징과 의미를 파악하여 중국식 대외원조의 변화가능성에 대해 분석하고 있다. 이는 국제원조체제에서 중요한 위치를 차지하고 있는 중국의 대외원조방식이 현재의 방식을 유지하고 확대해 나갈 것인가를 전망하는 것으로 국제사회의 원조체제를 이해하는 데 중요한 연구가 될 수 있을 것이다. 중국은 아프리카와 아시아를 포함한 개발도상국에게 중요한 원조공여국일 뿐만 아니라 북한에게는 매우 중요한 원조공여국이다. 중국의 대외원조는 북한의 개혁개방에 큰 영향을 끼칠 수 있다. 때문에 중국의 대외원조체제의 동향과 향후 전망에 대해 파악하는 것은 매우 의미 있는 연구가 될 수 있을 것이다.
