This study shows that the creation and transmission of Sizo had been done by literary convention among the works which are comprised of 'modifier + the vocative case' and has also some poetic patterns in them. Poetic pattern in this paper means the sentence structure which was frequently used in Sizo. This kind of patterning which is affected by syntactic and pragmatic restrictions could be linked with metrical restriction. 68 works of the recalling pattern sizo were examined by the way of checking up their poetic patterns in all the texts(3,335) of (󰡔역대시조전서󰡕) and organizing the related works to each pattern. After ascertaining the pattern transmission in Sizo through Sejong 21 corpus and Sizo Database, restriction of discourse plot was suggested as a main factor which affected poetic pattern. it could be interpreted that restriction of discourse plot in sizo was generated by both poetic orientation of confucian scholars and linguistic structure which is formed by the vocative case itself. It is found that the recalling pattern sizo was utilizing the inner pattern and outer pattern, also trying to make creative expression. This could indicate that Sizo genre had been dependent on the literary convention, and at the same time it had tried to create new expressions for its own generic life. So far many studies on the Sizo Meter have not paid attention on how it transmitted the class in charge of old Szo the meter of Sizo. This study has unveiled that the pattern transmission was closely related to the forming and handing down Sizo's meter.

본고에서는 시조 초장에 ‘한정어 + 호격 구조’로 일정한 패턴을 보이는 작품군을 중심으로 시조의 창작과 전승이 문학적 관습에 의해 이루어져 왔으며 시조의 운율 역시 패턴을 중심으로 형성 및 전승되었음을 논하였다. 시조에 자주 쓰이는 문장 구조를 패턴으로 명명하였으며, 이런 패턴화가 이루어지는 통사적·화용론적 제약에 대해서 논하였고 이는 다시 운율적 제약으로 연계될 수 있음을 밝혔다. 소환형 시조 68편에 대해 초·중·종장별 패턴을 󰡔역대시조전서󰡕 3,335편을 대상으로 전수 조사하였으며, 각 장별 패턴에 대해 관련되는 작품들을 정리하였다. 세종21말뭉치와 구축된 시조 데이터베이스를 바탕으로 시조에 패턴 전승 현상을 확인하였으며 패턴에 영향을 미치는 요소로 담화 구조 제약을 제시하였다. 시조의 주 담당층이 유학자들이라는 점에서 성리학자들의 지향과 언어적으로 호격 구조 자체가 가지는 제약이 맞물려 담화 구조 제약을 생성하였다. 소환형 시조는 내부 패턴과 외부 패턴을 충분히 활용하면서 동시에 독창적인 표현을 창작하려고 했음을 확인할 수 있었는데 이는 시조 장르가 문학적 관습에 기대면서도 새로운 표현을 갈구하며 그 생동성을 이어간 자취였다고 할 수 있다. 지금까지의 고시조 운율론은 창작 당대의 담당자들이 과연 어떤 방식으로 운율을 전승하였는가에 주목하지 않았다. 본고에서는 문학적 관습이라는 측면에서 시조의 패턴 전승이 운율의 형성 및 전승과 밀접한 관계가 있다고 보았다.
