The study explores visitor’s perceptual processes of values of a national park to analyse tourist's physiological processes. Visitor’s anti-environmental attitudes toward a national park have negative effects on visitor’s environment-friendly perception of it, while the attitudes have positive effects on visitor’s perception of values of a national park by the medium of the environment-friendly perception. The results show that the anti-environmental attitudes do not have a direct effect on the perception of values of a national park, but do through the environment-friendly perception. Therefore, it is necessary to make socio-cultural efforts toward improving environment-friendly perception of values of a national park. These efforts will be a fundamental way to preserve a national park as environmental pollution has been continuously threatening their sustainability.

본 연구는 한국사회에서 대표적인 관광지 중의 하나인 국립공원의 가치에 대한 관광객 인식과 관련한 심리 과정을 분석하기 위한 탐색적 연구로 진행되었다. 분석결과, 관광지에서의 반환경적 행동에 대한 관광객의 태도는 일반적인 친환경 인식에 부정적영향을 미치며, 이를 매개로 국립공원의 가치에 대한 인식에 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났다. 본 분석결과를 통해 현재 환경오염으로 인해 관광자원으로서의 가치가 위협받고있는 국립공원의 보전을 위한 근원적인 방법에 대해 탐색적 수준의 시사점을 도출 할수 있다. 관광지에서의 반환경적 행동 태도를 지닌 방문객의 국립공원의 가치에 대한인식을 높이기 위해서는 반환경적 태도를 지닌 관광객을 대상으로 단순히 관광지에서의 금지성 규칙 등을 교육하는 것에만 그치지 말고, 관광객으로 하여금 친환경 인식을가질 수 있게 하는 계기를 마련해 주어야만 국립공원의 가치에 대한 긍정적 인식을고양시킬 수 있다.
