The recent situation of the Islamic world, most radically represented by the Islamic State (IS), is characterized by chaos and violence. In other words, the Middle East is rife with ongoing conflicts between Arabs and Jews, as well as disputes surrounding Kurdish civil rights, racial strife, political unrest, and terrorism. To accurately determine whether Islam is culpable in creating the above circumstances, I conducted an analysis based on Islamic Jurisprudence Theory on what IS claims to be jihad; and I carefully depicted their historical rhetoric. This paper will contain the following chapters: Islamic Peace and Jihad, The Misuse and Abuse of Jihad, The Factors for the Occurrence of IS and the Expansion of its Power, The Implications of the Emergence of IS and its Future, Conclusion.

IS로 대변되는 최근 이슬람권의 상황은 극도의 혼란일 것이다. 즉 중동은 아랍인과 유대인의 갈 등, 쿠르드민족의 자치권문제와 인종, 종파, 정치체제 등 일상적인 갈등과 테러리즘의 환경에 놓여 있다. 본 논문은 이러한 환경조성에 이슬람교가 연결되어 있는가를 연구하기 위해 현재 IS가 지하 드라고 주장하고 있는 것을 이슬람 법리론으로 분석하였으며 그들이 개발한 역사적 수사학을 비판 하였다. 본 논문의 구성은 제2장 이슬람 평화관과 지하드, 제3장 지하드의 오용과 악용, 제4장 IS의 발생요인과 세력 확장, 제5장 IS 등장의 함의 및 전망, 제6장 결론으로 되어 있다.
