This study aims to examine the images of the Korean society in the maritime provinces in the 1930’s through the advertisement in , Korean newspaper. became an important carrier of information for the Koreans with the marked increase in circulation volume and display of the trend of changes in the flow of the news article contents, beginning in the 1930's. In the early stage of the 1930’s, majority of the advertisements were simple while, by 1935, advertisements that emphasized fancy frames and size of the fonts as well as contrast between light and shade began to increase substantially. From the perspective of the contents, advertisements for searching the whereabouts of the family and friends were most frequent, followed by the non-profit generating notification of individuals, organization and institutions including obituary, losses, public notice of meetings, and accusation, etc. as well as various profit-generating advertisements such as publication of books, subscription for newspaper delivery service, shops and hospitals, recruitment of laborers and promotion of performances, etc. It can be deemed that performed the role of medium for the notifications of various happenings within the Korean society as well as provided important opportunity to have a glimpse of social issues of the time of the Koreans in the maritime province at the time.

본 연구는 <선봉>에 실린 광고를 통해 1930년대 연해주 고려인 사회의 모습을 살펴보 고자 한다. <선봉>은 고려인에게 있어 중요한 정보의 전달자로서, 1930년대 들어서며 발 행부수가 늘고 기사 내용의 흐름이 변화하는 경향을 보였다. 1930년대 <선봉>에 실린 광고는 광고의 크기와 분량에 따라 광고료를 받아 게재되었으며, 외형적인 측면에서는 광고는 주로 신문의 마지막 페이지 우측 하단에 작게 게재되었고, 간결한 광고에서 점차 화려한 프레임과 글씨 크기, 명암을 강조한 광고가 많아지게 된 것을 확인 할 수 있었 다. 또한 광고 주제와 시대의 흐름에 따라 글씨체, 크기, 프레임 및 레이아웃도 점차 화 려하게 변하는 양상을 보였다. 내용별 측면에서는 조선에서 러시아로 오면서 헤어지거나 연락이 끊긴 가족 및 지인을 찾는 광고, 이주 고려인의 신원을 증명할 수 있었던 증명서 류 분실 및 도난 광고, 민족교육 운동이 활발하게 이루어지고 있음을 보여준 학교 광고 가 가장 많은 비중을 차지했으며, 시국회의나 공고, 고발, 감사 등의 개인이나 단체, 기 관의 비영리 알림 광고도 다수 게재되었다. 또한 농업, 문예 서적 및 잡지, 신문 구독, 상점 및 병원 홍보, 예술 공연 알림과 노동자 모집 등의 영리 광고도 게재되었다. 이처 럼 <선봉>은 신문으로서 연해주 고려인 사회의 알림장 역할을 함과 동시에 당시 연해주 고려인 사회의 사회적, 시대적 이슈를 살펴 볼 수 있는 중요한 계기가 된다.
