Reportedly Confucius hometown is located in Qufu, Shandong. However, only after carrying out a thorough research , we learned how Confucius Nanzong(Southern Sect) family shrine exists and the eldest descendent of the main lineage being in Quzhou, Zhejiang. The division of Nanzong and Beizong, Southern and Northern Sects respectively, was a historic incident for the separation of Confucius’ lineage. The Chapter 1 of this thesis discusses the history of Nanzong Confucian Temple, and the Chapter 2 elaborates on the current situation and the development of Nanzong Confucian Temple. Lastly, the Chapter 3 and the Chapter 4 presents an optimistic view toward the cultural exchange between the Republic of Korea and China. Confucius Nanzong family shrine has a profound cultural, historic value for research. It is the responsibility of the succeeding generation to study the great cultural heritage and the contemporary significance of Confucianism. Furthermore, the Chinese traditional culture needs to be further developed in order for it to be disseminated and interchanged with the ones of other countries like the Republic of Korea.

알려져 있는 바에 따르면, 공자의 고향은 산동성 곡부에(山东省曲阜) 위치하고 있다. 그런데 절강성 구주에(浙江省衢州) 어떻게 공씨 남종 가묘가 존재할 수 있고, 공자 종가의 장손이어떻게 그 곳에서 살고 있는 지 자세히 연구한 후에야 알 수 있게 되었다. 남종과 북종의 분리는 공자의 가계(家係)를 분리시킨 역사의 계기가 된 사건이었다. 본 논문 제1장에서는 공씨 남종과 북종 분리의 역사 연혁을 돌이켜보았다. 논문 제2장에서는 남종 공묘의 역사, 현황과 발전을 기술하였다. 논문 제3장과 제4장에서는 한중 양국 문화교류에 대한 미래를 낙관적으로 전망하였다. 남종 공씨 가묘(南宗孔氏家庙)는 연구할 가치가있는 깊고 풍부한 문화적 저력을 함축하고 있다. 우리 후손들은 이 우수한 문화적 유산을 깊이 연구하고, 유가 문화의 현대적 교육 의의를 탐색할 책임이 있다. 또한 중국 전통 문화를발전시켜서 한국 및 세계 각지의 전파 및 교류를 적극적으로 추진할 책무가 있다.
