The purpose of this study was to examine the influence of high school volleyball players' achievement goal orientation on achievement motivation and performance strategy. The total of 362 questionnaires were used for the data analysis such as factor analysis, t-test, correlation analysis, and multiple regression analysis. The results showed that the high school volleyball players' achievement goal orientation had significant influence on achievement motivation such as both success achievement motivation and failure evasion motivation. The task orientation and self-orientation had positive influence on success achievement motivation while the task orientation had positive influence on failure evasion motivation. The results also showed that the high school volleyball players' achievement goal orientation had all significant influence on performance strategy such as the regulation of condition, setting up image and goal, relaxing, regulation of emotion, and talking to oneself. The task orientation had positive influence on the regulation of control, setting up image and goal, relaxing, and talking to oneself while self-orientation had positive influence on the regulation of emotion.
