Asikuraji and Iwakuraji are the strategic base and village for people of the Tateyama religion as well as the epicenter of carrying out missionary activities. Asikuraji used to have an organization called ‘Ilsanhoe’ comprised of monks and laities and a document called Tateyama that contains their activities still remains to this day. Based on the document Tateyama, I have looked into the organization of Ilsanhoe, and its roles and activities. Both monks and laities in Ilsanhoe had a wife, and Ilsanhoe had a strict internal order of rank. The top position was held by Illo, followed by Wonju. Wonju engaged in general affairs of Ilsanhoe. The role of Ilsanhoe was to serve as an organization that represents the village and to hold a praying ceremony for the Lord family in Gagahan. One of the most important activities of Ilsanhoe was to engage in missionary work during the busy farming season when believers made a variety of preparations if not religious items. While being the two temples of Ilsan, Asikuraji and Iwakuraji were on cat-and-dog terms. Asikuraji, which was relatively inferior made all-out efforts to respond to Iwakuraji’s attempts to check and control as too much was at stake, posing threat to the sheet existence of Asikuraji.

아시쿠라지(芦峅寺)와 이와쿠라지(岩峅寺)는 다테야마(立山)신앙의 거점지역이면서 종교인들의 촌락이고, 포교활동의 진원지라 할 수 있다. 아시쿠라지에는 승직(僧職)과 사직(社職)을 중심으로 조직된 일산회(一山会)가 있었고 그 활동에 대한 것들이 다테야 마 문서로 남아 있다. 본고는 다테야마 문서에 의거해서 일산회의 조직, 역할과 활동에 대해서 알아보았다. 일산회의 승직, 사직 모두 처대(妻帯)였고, 일산회 내부에는 엄격한 위계질서를 가지고 있었다. 최고직은 일로(一老)이고, 그 다음은 원주(院主)였다. 원주는 일산회의 제반적인 업무를 담당했다. 일산회의 역할은 마을의 대표하는 기구라는 것과 가가한(加賀藩)의 한슈가(藩主家)를 위하여 기도를 집전하는 것이었다. 일산회의 활동에서 가장 중요한 것은 단나바(檀那場)의 회단배찰(廻檀配札)이고, 이때 단가(檀家)들이 원하는 종교적인 물건이 아니더라도 다양하게 준비를 해 갔다. 일산양사(一山両寺)이면서도 아시쿠라지 (芦峅寺)와 이와쿠라지(岩峅寺)는 견원지간이었다. 상대적으로 열세에 있던 아시쿠라지 는 이와쿠라지 견제에서 일산회의 온 힘으로 대응했다. 왜냐하면, 아시쿠라지 존폐가 달린 일들이 많았기 때문이다.
