The purpose of this study is to analyze the space organization characteristics of the senior club, which is one of the welfare facilities for senior citizens, based on the typology of VI the senior club (II of them in rural area and IV of them in city) in Cheongju region, and to propose a better way for architectural planning of the senior club. The typology of plans is achieved by field survey research and analysis about the drawings of VI facilities. Plans of VI facilities have been categorized into III types which were OE, OEW, and OW. The characteristics of the space organization in each typology have been analyzed based on current use. The analysis of the space organization shows lots of things to be improved such as plan design and the accessibility of the disabled. The space organization characteristics of the senior club should be considered to maximize the level of satisfaction of the facility user, and the facility criteria of the senior club should be complemented by specific space program and area standard.

이 논문의 목적은 청주지역 6개의 시니어클럽의 현황을 조사하여 시니어클럽의 공간구성 특징을 분석하고 시니어클럽의 건축계획 시 보다 나은 방법을 제시하는 것이다. 6개 시설의 평면 유형은 도면의 분석과 현장조사를 통하여 이루어졌다. 평면은 OE, OEW, OW의 3가지 유형으로 분류된다. 공간구성의 특징은 현황조사를 기초로 분석되었다. 시설의 공간구성을 분석하면서 많은 개선점들이 도출되었다. 시니어클럽의 공간구성은 사용자의 만족도를 최대화 시킬 수 있어야 하고 스페이스프로그램과 면적기준이 보완되어야 한다.
