The study has conducted a survey on differences in school resilience and a sense of belonging in school according to middle school students’ participation in school sports club contest targeting 454 middle school students of the Y city in Gyeungsangnam-do province. The collected questionnaires were analyzed according to the study purpose with SPSS/PC Window V19.0 program. Analysis on primary factor and reliability were conducted for the validity and reliability of the results, and analysis of frequency for characteristics of demographic factors. In order to verify the differences in school resilience and a sense of belonging in school depending on gender, grade, contest participation, sports events and period of participation, independent samples t-test and one-way ANOVA were carried out and then Scheffe for follow-up verification. The results of the study with the methods and procedures above are as follows:

본 연구는 중학생의 학교스포츠클럽대회 참가에 따른 학교적응유연성과 학교소속감에 대한 차이를 살펴보고자 경남 Y 시의 남․여 중학생 454명을 선정하여 설문조사를 실시하였다. 회수한 설문지의 자료처리는 SPSS/PC Window V19.0 프로그램을 이용하여 연구 목적에 따라 분석하였고, 설문지의 타당도와 신뢰도를 알아보기 위해 요인분석과 신 뢰도 분석을 실시하였으며, 인구통계학적 변인의 특성을 알아보기 위해 빈도분석을 실시하였다. 중학생의 성별, 학년, 대회참가 여부 및 참가종목, 참가기간의 차이에 대한 학교적응유연성과 학교소속감의 차이를 검증하기 위하여 독립표 본 t검정(independent samples t-test)과 일원분산분석(one-way ANOVA)을 실시하였으며, 사후검증은 Scheffe 를 실시하였고, 학교스포츠클럽대회에 참가하지 않는 이유를 알아보기 위하여 빈도분석을 실시하였다.
