A person is revealed to have a certain type of personality. Personality is a factor that causes people to behave differently under same situations. In the field of psychology many theories that classify personality types of people have been extensively studied. Among them the personality typology of the Enneagram has been known as a tool that gives people an understanding of the universe, world and moreover knowledge to discover their own personality. There are various kinds of people in the bible; those who believed in the word of God and lived with God, those who stood against God owing to mistrust, and also those who rebelled against God. This classification of people means the change in personality of those who solely relied on faith, those who did not have faith, and those who abandoned faith. This can be considered as person's change of personality in psychology. The change in personality of the people would also imply that it is associated with personality based on their behavior. This means that personality of people is classified through the Enneagram and can become a good model to understand it. In this study, personality types of a few important people in the bible were classified applying the Enneagram and changex in their personality were studied. Through this study, the people in the bible were categorized into one of the Enneagram's nine personality types, and this made it possible to know how their personalities have changed. Taking a look into the change in personality of these people will be meaningful, in that it can be changeable in their lives through their characters.

인간의 성격은 일정한 유형을 갖는 것으로 드러난다. 사람의 성격은 동일한 상황에서도 특정한 행동이 유발되도록 작용하게 만드는 요인이기 때문이다. 심리학에서는 성격을 유형화하는 이론이 다양하게 연구되어 왔다. 그 중에서도 에니어그램의 성격유형론은 사람이 우주를 이해하고 세계를 알며 자신의 성격을 발견하는데 필요한 지식을 제공하는 방법으로 알려져 있다. 성서에는 다양한 인물들이 등장한다. 여기에는 하나님의 말씀을 믿고 의지하며 살았던 사람, 하나님을 불신하며 대항했던 사람, 하나님을 배반했던 사람 등 많은 부류의 사람들이다. 이런 현상은 인격의 변화를 의미하는 것으로 신앙에 전적으로 의지한 사람, 신앙을 가질 수 없었던 사람, 신앙을 저버린 사람 등으로 이해된다. 이런 것은 모두 심리학에서 인성의 변화를 일으킨 것으로 볼 수 있는 것이다. 그러면 그들에게 일어난 인성의 변화가 그들에게서 드러나는 행동을 중심으로 하는 성격과 관련되어 있음을 내포하는 것이기도 하다. 이런 것은 그대로 에니어그램을 통하여 인물의 성격을 유형화하여 이해하는데 좋은 모델이 될 수 있음을 의미한다. 본 연구에서는 에니어그램을 활용하여 성서속의 주요 인물들을 고찰하여 인성의 변화를 시도하고자 한다. 이런 과정에서 연구자는 이들의 에니어그램 9가지 성격의 유형으로 분류하여 고찰한다. 이로 인해 우리는 연구대상이 되는 인물들의 인성이 어떻게 변화가 되었는지에 대해서 인식하게 된다. 물론 이들의 인성의 변화는 성격을 통해서 살아가는 삶의 변화가 될 수 있다는 점에서 상당히 흥미로운 일이 될 것이다.
