Defense This study attempts to explain a growth plan of Korea’s defense industry through analyzing its economic influence. Fundamental theory of the study is that the budget on defense improvement project is creating many sorts of influence on economy, unlike some claims rather denouncing it as mere expenditure. For this the study analyzed defense improvement project’ effect on security, compiling Industry Linkage Analysis to analyze its economic influence such as Production Inducement Coefficient, Value-added Inducement Coefficient using starting power as an example. Therefore, this paper presents an analysis of moabite force procurement projects among various projects to improve defense in order to secure persuasive reason for improving interest in project budgets to improve defense and national defense cost among citizens. Result of the study would suggest policy implication on research planning for competitiveness growth of defense industry.

본 논문은 방위산업의 경제적 파급효과 분석을 통해서 국내 방위산업 육성방안을 제시하고자 하였다. 기본적인 연구의 명제는 방위력개선사업의 예산이 소비성 지출에 따른 예산 축소 주장과는 달리 방위력개선사업은 각종 경제적 효과를 창출하며, 국가 경제에 많은 기여를 하고 있다는 것이다. 이를 위해, 방위력개선사업 지출이 가지는 안보효과를 분석하고, 산업연관표를 작성하여 대표적인 기동전력 사업을 예로 하여 생산유발계수, 부가가치유발계수 등 경제적 파급효과를 중심으로 분석하였다. 이러한 연구결과는 방위산업 경쟁력 향상 및 육성을 위한 관련연구에 정책적 시사점을 함의할 것으로 본다. 또한, 국내 방위산업 경쟁력을 산업연관분석이라는 경제성 분석 틀을 활용한 것에 중요한 의의가 있겠다.
