The purpose of this study is to examine co-licensed elementary school teachers' job accommodation in the initial stages of their teaching profession, and further to seek implications from the examination. Domains dealt with for the examination include job performance, school life, attitude/perceptions to teaching profession, and troubles and the solution to them. Questionnaires and interview were used to survey the co-licensed teachers' job accommodation. Looking overall, according to the surveyed data, the co-licensed elementary school teachers' job accommodation does not look so bad. But, in the cases where co-licensed teachers were assigned as a class teacher in charge of almost all subjects, serious problems were occasionally found. At the end of the paper, authors suggested several instructions sought from the examination of the co-licensed teachers' job accommodation, which could be considered helpful for the related policies afterwards.

이 연구는 중등교사 자격증 소지자로서 최근 보수교육을 받고 초등학교 정규교사로 임용되어 근무하고 있는 교사(중초교사)의 교직적응 실태를 조사·분석하고, 정책적 시사점을 찾는 데 목적이 있다. 중초교사의 교직적응 실태를 조사하기 위한 영역으로 직무수행, 학교생활, 교직태도와 의식, 애로와 그 해결 등을 설정하였으며, 중초교사, 일반교사, 교장·교감을 대상으로 한 설문조사와 면담조사를 실시하였다. 조사 결과 중초교사들의 교직적응에는 대체로 큰 문제가 없는 편이었으나, 학급담임을 맡은 경우에는 일부 상당한 문제점을 나타내고 있는 것으로 드러났다. 향후 유사한 정책 시행시 보다 철저한 사전준비와 조치가 요구되고 임용 후 적절한 관리 및 지원이 필요하다는 등의 시사점을 찾을 수 있었다.
