APEC is a forum for facilitating economic growth, cooperation, trade and investment in the Asia-Pacific region. APEC has played a role cooperation in regional economic sphere and later on emphasized trade liberalization. The prospects for labor movement in the era of globalization seems very gloomy. The geo-economics fact of East-Asia is very dynamic and exciting to secure the natural resource like oil, natural gas and other minerals.
The APEC 2005 Summit Meeting will be perhaps the biggest international event ever held in Busan. The Slogan of "Together APEC, Jumping BUSAN" seems to show the hope of the korean government and Busan metropolitan city.
Busan must develop the competitive position of Hub-port of the seaport and airport as the main gate in the continent of Europe-Asia. Busan must start to plan the grand design of logistic industry and industrial cluster of motor, shipbuilding, machine components to utilize the advantage of geo-economics.

2005 APEC 정상회의는 부산에서 열린 가장 큰 국제회의다. “함께하는 APEC, 도약하는 부산”이라는 슬로건은 한국정부와 부산시의 기대를 잘 나타내고 있다. 부산은 유라시아대륙의 관문으로서 항만과 공항의 허브로서의 경쟁력을 발전시켜야 한다. 부산은 지경학적 이점을 활용하여 물류산업과 자동차, 조선, 기계부품 등의 산업클러스터의 그랜드 디자인의 계획에 착수해야 한다.
