The FTA framework between regional trade agreements system that is actively conducted since the late 20th century. 20세기 후반부터 활발하게 진행되는 FTA 체제라는 지역 간 무역협정체제하에서 각 국가간에는 쌍무 간, 다자간, 동시다발적 무역협정을 체결하여, 자국의 이익을 도모하기 위한다양한 무역정책을 실시하고 있다. 한ㆍ중 FTA는 우리에게 있어서 최대 교역국이면서 안정적인수출입시장 확보, 가격경쟁력 제고 및 미래성장의 동력확보, 나아가 소득증대 및 고용창출등 다양한 측면에서 매우 중요한 의의를 지니고 있다. 특히 충청남도는 제조업 기반이 우수하지만, 아직 농업이 전역에 고루 산재해 있어 중국과의 FTA 체결로 대중국 교역증가와동시에 이에 수반되는 주력산업 등에 대한 영향 클 것으로 판단되어 이에 대한 바람직한대응방안을 수립할 필요가 있다고 본다. 이에 대한 구체적인 대응방안은 먼저, FTA 원산지관리․활용에 대한 능력 강화, FTA 구조조정 자금 지원체계 강화 및 무역피해구제 프로그램마련, FTA 활용도 제고를 위한 정보제공 및 해외마케팅 활동 강화, FTA 시대에 적합한스마트 무역 전문 인력 양성 체계 강화, 수출산업의 고도화 및 고부가가치 중심으로 개편, 녹색성장동력에 따른 친환경 경영체제 확립 등을 제시할 수 있다. 따라서, 본고에서는 먼저, 한ㆍ중 FTA에 대한 일반적 의의를 살펴보고, 이어, 한ㆍ중 FTA 체결로 충남 주력산업에미치는 영향 등을 중점적으로 비교․분석하여 이에 대한 효율적인 대응방안을 모색하는데본고의 목적을 두고 있다.
