The objectives of this study are: (1) to compare the satisfaction level between local residents and visitors regarding Jechon Medicinal-Herb Festivals; (2) to examine methods to improve visitor satisfaction levels concerning Medicinal-Herb Festivals; and (3) to make proposals to Festival organizers with regarding to developing successful Jechon Medicinal-Herb Festivals.
The results from the study are as follows. Firstly, local visitor satisfaction levels were higher than other domestic visitors. Second, festival visitors enjoyed experiencing to the traditional medicine with which they are familiar. So it is necessary to develop more experience programs to increase visitor satisfaction levels. Finally, visitors were more satisfied with their tour when accompanied by guides who were explaining a traditional Medicinal Herb. It suggests that the more knowledgeable guides of traditional medicine, the higher resultant satisfaction levels.
