2015 is the year of 400th anniversary of RIMPA, one of famous Japanese art schools. To celebrate this special year, the authors organized a projection mapping event at Kyoto National Museum in March 2015. As this is an event to commemorate RIMPA school, the authors tried to create contents based on the concept of RIMPA. At the same time, to appeal that RIMPA should expand into the future, they tried to introduce cutting-edge technologies to create the content. Therefore this event is a good example of how culture and technologies could be integrated together. In this paper both cultural aspect and technical aspect of this event are described.

2015년은 일본의 유명한 미술 학파 중 하나인 RIMPA의 400주년이 되는 해이다. 이 특별한 해를 축하하기 위해, 우리는 2016년 3월 프로젝트 맵핑 아트 이벤트를 교토 국립박물관에서 진행하였다. 이 이벤트가 RIMPA 학파를 기념하기 위한 이벤트이니 만큼, 우리는 RIMPA의 개념에 기반하여 내용을 창조하려 노력하였다. 그리고 동시에 RIMPA가 미래로 뻗어 나간다는 의미를 보여주기 위해서, 최첨단 기술을 사용하려 노력하였다. 그러므로 이 이벤트는 문화와 기술이 어떻게 통합 될 수 있는지 보여주는 좋은 사례이다. 이 논문에서는 이 행사의 문화적인 측면과 기술적인 측면 모두를 묘사한다.
