The purpose of this study was to examine the perception of elementary school students and their parents on dance activities in depth and multi-laterally. For this, 3 elementary school students and their 3 parents who had the experience of taking part in dance activities were purposively sampled to carry out a qualitative case study. Data were collected through focus group interview, literature review and descriptive questionnaire survey, and examined using encoding and constant comparative method. And the reliability and validity of study were confirmed, together with the morality and ethicality. Case analysis on participation in dance activities was carried out by classifying it into such 3 areas as participation in dance activities, satisfaction with dance activities and environment for dance.

본 연구는 초등학생과 학부모의 무용 활동에 대한 인식을 분석함으로써 심층적이고 다각적으로 분석하고자 하는 데 있었다. 이와 같은 연구 목적을 달성하기 위하여 본 연구에서는 무용 활동에 참여 사례가 있는 초등학생 3명 과 학생 학부모 3명으로 유 목적표집 하여 질적 사례연구를 실시하였으며, 심층면담과 문서수집, 그리고 서술적 설문조가 등을 통하여 수집하였고 수집된 자료는 부호화와 항시비교법을 이용하여 분석하였다. 연구의 신뢰성과 타당성, 그리고 도덕과 윤리성 또한 확인하였다. 무용 활동 참여 사례 분석으로는 무용 활동의 참여, 무용 활동의 만족도, 무용의 환경 3가지로 구분하였다.
