This study is to verify the effect of spouse support on marital satisfaction of married women and the mediation effect of communication between spouse support and marital satisfaction. The subjects are married women who lived in seoul and ranged from 20 to 60 years old. The survey was formed as a self-report. Multiple regression analysis and mediation effect of Baron & Kenny(1986) were used to analyze the data. The result revealed that both spouse support and communication significantly had a positive effect on marital satisfaction. Especially emotional support among sub-factors of spouse support had high levels of positive effect on marital satisfaction and egoistic communication among sub-factors of communication had high levels of negative effect on marital satisfaction. The result also found that communication significantly mediated the relationship between spouse support and marital satisfaction..

본 연구는 기혼여성에게 있어서 배우자의 지지가 결혼만족에 영향을 미치는 지, 그리고 의사 소통은 이 두 변수의 관계를 매개하는 지에 대해 검증하였다. 본 연구의 대상자는 서울시에 거 주하는 20대에서 60대 이상의 기혼여성을 대상으로 하였으며 자기보고식 설문으로 자료를 수집 하였다. 분석방법으로는 다중회귀분석과 Baron & Kenny(1986)의 매개역할 검증 방법을 사용 하였다. 본 연구를 통해 배우자의 지지와 의사소통 모두 결혼만족도에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것 으로 나타났다. 배우자 지지의 하위요인 중에서 정서적 지지가 결혼만족도에 큰 영향을 미쳤고, 의사소통 하위 요인 중에서는 남편의 독선적 의사소통이 부적 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 그리고 의사소통은 배우자 지지와 결혼만족도의 관계를 매개하는 것으로 나타났다.
