Using 275 fifth and sixth graders, this study examined what were the factors in the teaching behavior of effective teacher, and if there was any difference between males and females in the perception of effective teacher. The findings showed that although the factors were not consistent with theoretical factors assumed by researchers, six factors(clarification, organization, diversification, motivation, behavior management, and learning management) were identified as teaching behaviors of effective teacher.
The findings also showed that females perceived clarification, organization, diversification, motivation, and behavior management as teaching behaviors of effective teacher, suggesting that the perceptions of the teaching behavior of effective teacher or the teaching behavior vary by the student's gender. Gender difference in the perception of effective teacher, and six factors as teaching behaviors of effective teacher were discussed.
The findings from the study imply that it is necessary to define the teaching behavior of teacher by various perspectives. In addition, this study implies that it is necessary to do a longitudinal research on teacher effectiveness in the future.

본 연구는 교사의 수업행동에 관한 기존 연구의 한계를 극복하고 교수활동의 전체적 조망을 위해 교사효과성의 구조적 차원의 규명에 주목한다． 따라서 교사의 효과적인 수업행동에 대한 구조적 차원을 파악하기 위하여 교사효과성에 대한 요인을 밝히는데 본 연구의 목적이 있다． 이를 위하여 초등학교 5, 6학년생 275명을 대상으로 요인분석을 실시한 결과 여섯 개의 요인이 추출되었고 이 요인의 각각에 대해 남녀별 지각 차이가 있었다． 이상의 연구에서 밝혀진 결과들은 학생의 학습결과와 교사의 수업행동에 대한 전체적 이해에 시사점을 제공하며 효과적인 교사교육 방법의 구안에 구체적 지침을 제공해 줄 것이다．
