Traditionally, engineering and biotechnology study on sanitary quarantine. However, sanitary quarantine has grown into new areas of international trade policy because of a strategic trade means non-tariff barriers in the field of WTO. Research area of sanitary quarantine can be divided into social sciences and research areas of natural system first, and when viewed from domestic and international also it is possible to compartmentalize the sanitary quarantine relevant provisions of domestic and international research areas. In addition, from the viewpoint of country, companies and individuals, research of sanitary quarantine may be able to classify the fields of individuals, businesses and country quarantine occurring about during the course of trade of goods and movement of domestic and foreign. In view of the foregoing, if you look at the domestic previous studies that have been made to date, considerable researches have been conducted in normal part of provisions. However, it is expected that research on M & A strategy of sanitary quarantine in China and research for strategic negotiations for sanitary quarantine of China before Korea and China FTA.

위생검역에 대한 연구는 전통적으로 식품과 바이오 및 환경공학계열에서 취급하는 학문이라고 할 수 있다. 그러나 위생검역이 WTO의 비관세장벽 영역에서 새로운 전략적 통상수단으로 활용되면서 국제통상정책의 새로운 영역으로 자리 잡았다고 할 수 있다. 이에 따라 위생검역의 연구영역은 먼저 자연계열의 연구영역과 사회과학계열 연구 영역으로 구분할 수 있을 것이며, 국내와 국제적인 관점에서 볼 때, 국내 위생검역관련 규정과 국제적인 위생검역관련규정으로 구분할 수 있을 것이다. 또한 개인과 기업 및 국가적인 관점에서 볼 때, 개인이나 기업이 국내 및 해외의 이동이나 상품의 교역과정에서 발생할 수 있는 위생검역에 대한 연구와 국가가 이를 관리 운영하는 연구분야로 구분할 수 있을 것이다. 이상의 관점에서 현재까지 진행된 국내 선행연구들을 살펴보면 통상법제 부분에서 상당한 연구가 진행되었다. 그러나 향후 한·중 FTA대비 중국의 위생검역에 대한 전략적 협상에 대한 연구와 중국의 위생검역 M&A전략에 대한 연구가 필요할 것으로 예상된다.
