Most previous studies adopt the ideas of the trading to explain the characters of industrial structure in China and South Korea. Results show that they are in competition against each other, and it is given a negative value judgment without any distinction. This study, Based on the input-output perspective, analyzes the homogeneity and heterogeneity of industrial structure in China and Korea with the input-output tables of China(2002) and South Korea(2003), and propose the different views. This study believes that homogeneities make competition increase in the same industrial sectors, but also brings more opportunities of horizontal cooperation for them. Heterogeneity increase complementarity, and more space of vertical cooperation.

한 중 양국 산업의 구조적 특성에 관해서 기존의 연구들은 모두 무역관계를 통해서 연구가 진행되어 왔다. 본 연구는 중국 2002년 투입산출표와 한국 2003년 산업연관표에 기초하여 투입산출분석방법을 이용해서 한․중 양국의 제조업부문의 동질성과 이질성을 분석하였다. 한․중 양국 제조업부문의 동질성은 양국산업간의 경쟁 심화를 초래하는 한편 양국의 동질 산업에는 수평적 협력기회를 가져다 줄 수 있고, 이질성은 양국 산업의 상호보완관계에 일조됨으로써 수직적 협력의 가능성을 가져다 줄 수 있다.
