As Taiwan and America are very famous in foundry and fabless semiconductor business, so, semiconductor became a major business in both countries. Also, semiconductor industry is becoming more and more influential on many different industries because many industries are adopting semiconductor as they move to high technology. Therefore, this study analyzed the case of Taiwan and American successful major semiconductor companies which are playing a leading role in entrepreneurship respectively, and they are successful companies in foundry and fabless industry. Also, TSMC is quite successful by adopting foundry business model, and Qualcomm is quite successful by utilizing CDMA technology in mobile communication industry. So, This study tried to find out how both companies could be successful in their business by adopting Innovativeness, Proactiveness and Risk-taking in entrepreneurship. Accordingly, There are some implications which could be helpful to other semiconductor companies.
