This「Kyung Soo Do Chup」study is based on『Yuk Joo Myung Ga Boh Muk』from Chungbuk University publishing department, published on year 2011, translated by Shin Young Ho, Shin Bum Sik. Through this theses, writer want to examin closely and more specifically about the value of「Kyung Soo Do Chup」. This「Kyung Soo Do Chup」󰡑s genuine research has been tried for first time. 「Kyung Soo Do Chup」is bound since when Shin Joong Uhm was 80 years old and his descendents invited total 136 popular good natured people to his house in Han Yang; for six times during years 1601 December, 1602 April and October, 1603 October, 1604 March and October; for Kyung Soo Yeon(banquet for long life to live) and they draw this banquet into a paint and left poem and writhing, later this has been bound into one. 「Kyung Soo Do Chup」is gathered important significance calligraphy history of master calligrapher and popular good natured people of those days. Also when study of calligraphy hand writing , popular good natured people and master calligrapher's feature of stroke is well reflected and it is valuable data for calligraphy history. In this theses, writer want to consider Shin Joong Um’s family and his life time line, aging and changes; the analysis form of special character in calligraphy writing in「Kyung Soo Do Chup」and value of calligraphy history printed in「Kyung Soo Do Chup」. In addition, hope to contribute to the local culture and public relations, especially in this theses; want to organize the value of「Kyung Soo Do Chup」 as followed. First,「Kyung Soo Do Chup」is personal progress report on Shin Joong Um who served in Ga-Sun-Dae-Boo Dong-Joong-Chu-BooSa and who lived in Seoul and Chung Joo, Nangsong; and had social intercourse with government officials who have ability power during the time, and also shows respect highly in literature and the art. Second,「Kyung Soo Do Chup」witch printed in『Myung Ga Boh Muk』is a book with paint, poem, and writing about long life prayer, completed during the age of early 17th century and it is oldest「Kyung Soo Do Chup」that is exist; it is valuable collection of popular scholar and confucian scholar during the age of early 17th century. Third, it is valuable data to study about political, scholarly important peoples literary education changes during early 17th century. Fourth, this is a book of calligraphy that can let us know how han writing style changed from Song Suhl style of hand writing-centered during early Chosun to Chosunized hand writing style with the brush writing skill.

경수도첩」연구는 신용호 · 신범식 탈초번역「역주 명가보묵(譯註 名家寶墨)」, 충북대학교 출판부 발행 2011년을 저본으로 했다. 필자는 본 논문을 통해 그 가치를 더 구체적으로 규명하고자 한다. 이「경수도첩」에 대한 본격적인 연구는 처음 시도하는 것으로 여겨진다.「경수도첩」은 신중엄이 80세 때 부터 그 자손들이 여섯 차례에 걸쳐 신축년(辛丑年 1601) 12월, 임인년(壬寅年 1602) 4월과 10월, 계묘년(癸卯年 1603) 10월, 갑진년(甲辰年 1604) 3월과 10월에 명현들을 한양에 있던 본인의 집으로 총 136명이 초청되어 경수연을 열었을 때에, 하객들이 이를 그림으로 그리고 축하는 시(詩)와 문(文)을 지었는데, 그것을 모아 한 권으로 작첩(作帖)한 것이다. 「경수도첩」은 당대의 명현, 명필들의 서예를 함께 수록하고 있다는 점에서 서예사적으로 중요한 의의가 있다고 하겠다. 또한 서체의 연구에 있어서도 명현, 명필들의 필획의 특징들이 잘 반영되어 있어서 우리 서예를 연구하는데 중요한 자료이며 서예사적으로도 귀중한 자료라 하겠다. 본 연구에서는「경수도첩」을 통하여 신중엄의 가계와 생애, 서수(序壽)의 유변(流變), 「경수도첩」에 수록된 서예의 주요특징의 자형(字形) 분석과 서예사적 의의를 고찰하고자 한다. 아울러 지역문화의 발굴과 홍보에 기여하고자 하며, 특히 본 논고에서 아래와 같은 『경수도첩』의 가치를 정리해보고자 한다. 첫째,「경수도첩」은 신중엄은 가선대부 동중추부사를 역임했으며 서울과 청주 낭성에 거 주하며 당대 중앙의 역량 있는 관료들과 교유하면서 문예를 존숭(尊崇)한 인물 자체 에 대한 평가를 보여주는 기록이다. 둘째,『명가보묵(名家寶墨)』에 수록된「경수도첩」은 17세기 초에 완성된 장수를 축원하 는 시문첩(詩文帖)으로 현존하는 가장 오래된 경수도첩이며, 17세기 초반 당대 석학 거유들의 친필(親筆)을 집성해놓은 보묵집(寶墨集)이다. 셋째, 17세기 초 정치적 학문적 중추적 인물들의 시문학적 교유양상을 알아볼 수 있는 소중 한 자료이다. 넷째, 서법변천상으로 볼 때 조선 전기 송설체 위주의 글씨에서 조선화 되어 가는 서풍의 변모상을 알아볼 수 있는 서예첩이다.
