○The open market is the Internet shopping mall of ‘mediating’ type where individuals and small merchants freely trade goods, now dominating 43% of online distribution. ○ The open market will lead the growth and change of online distribution industry as merging with social commerce and transforming into mobile commerce. ○ Korea’s open market is oligopoly which top three companies dominate about 99% of the market, and this is similar to the market condition of Japan and China. ○ Despite the accomplishment of open market in distribution industry, there are problems that calls for institutional resolution such as fair distribution of the market performance and fair trade issue. ○ Nevertheless, the open market is the business model for efficient distribution. It would grow into the global market that goes beyond borders, contributing to the overseas expansion of domestic goods and the export of the system itself. ○ Therefore, although the open market might show negative side effects in short-term, it should be developed as the next generation’s business model with high-added value in long-term.
