Comparative sequence analyses were conducted on complete mtDNA sequences from eight species Vespertilionidae (Chiroptera) in Korea and revealed the presence of 30 regions with well-conserved sequences over the complete mtDNA sequences. The conserved sequences were found in 7 regions in protein coding genes, 18 regions in tRNA genes, 10 regions in rRNA genes and two regions in replication origin. They can be used to design primers for amplifying complete mtDNA sequences of Korean bats.

국내에 서식하는 애기박쥐과 8종의 전체 미토콘드리아 DNA 염기서열을 비교·분석한 결과, 미토콘드리아 유전체내에서 염기서열이 잘 보존된 30개 지역을 확인하였다, 보존지역은 protein coding 유전자내 7곳, tRNA 유전 자내 18지역, rRNA유전자내 10곳, 그리고 replication origin내에 2곳 등이었다. 이러한 보전지역은 국내 박쥐류의 계통 및 유전자 다양성 등을 확인하기 위한 프라이머(Primer)를 디자인하는데 활용될 수 있다.
