Worship service participants experience different emotions from different attitudes of liturgist, and ways of service performance. According to Confucius’(BC 551-479) understanding of the proprieties, and H. Fingrette’s comprehension of The Discourses of Confucius, a being who lives sincerely has a magic power. A liturgist who lives her/his daily life sincerely and consistently educate her-/himself can touch the hearts of the worship service participants. Magic power comes from liturgist, but it comes from the depth of benevolence of being, not from the excellency of the worship performance. Magic power comes from the good attitude of liturgist. Worship service and daily life are related. The life of liturgist reflects on the worship service, and her/his life is the replica of the worship service she/he performs. Hence, her/his magic power is the influence built on her/his high virtue and practice of her value. The attitude and the pose of liturgist reflect her/his own being, which influence people. Her/His being in itself is the medium to touch worship participants. It is the sincerity of being to make resolution for value-oriented life, and to live out the value that generates emotions. That is the reason why liturgist should not live her daily life without knowing that her being deeply impacts the emotions worship participants would get. They can feel the sincerity which is seemingly invisible. When liturgist ‘works on her-/himself,’ incessantly, and shares her sincerity from the depth of her being, the worship service she performs would be ‘authentic’ one. Moving worship performance comes from the ‘worship service as life.’

Fingrette)의 논어 해석을 살펴보았다. 진실한 삶을 사는 존재의 힘은 신묘하다는 핑가레트의 해석에 힘입어 예전집례자의 진정성 있는 일상의 삶을 사는 것과 자기 자신에 대한 끊임없는 연마가 예전집례에서 감동을 줄 수 있다는 결론을 얻었다. 신묘한 힘(magic power)이란 예식을 집례하는 집례자에게서 우러나는 어떤 힘인데, 집례자의 기능과 역할의 탁월함에서 기인하는 것이 아니라 인(仁)한 존재의 깊이에서 우러나오는 힘이다. 곧 신묘한 힘은 집례자의 올바른 처신에서 비롯된다. 의례와 일상의 삶은 상호관련성이 있다. 따라서 예식 거행에 있어서 집례자의 현존은 그의 일상의 삶의 반영이고, 그의 일상의 삶은 예식집례의 모사다. 따라서 신묘한 힘이란 고도의 덕을 기초로 한 실천이 가져오는 감화력이라고 할 수 있다. 즉 예전집례자의 자세, 태도가 그의 존재를 드러내고 있으며, 사람들로 하여금 그의 현존을 느끼게 함으로써, 사람들은 감화된다. 곧 예전집례자의 존재 자체가 감화를 매개하는 것이다. 즉 예식에서의 감동은 가치지향적인 삶에로의 결단과 부단한 노력으로써 일상에서 실천하는 존재의 진정성에서 유래하는 것이다. 그러므로 예전 집례자는 자신의 존재 자체가 감화력을 끼칠 수 있다는 의식으로, 일상의 삶을 살아내야 한다. 진정성은 눈에 보이지 않는 듯하지만, 사람들은 제대로 느끼기 때문이다. “자기 자신에 대한 작업”을 부단히 수행하여, 깊이 있는 존재, 깊이 있는 인간으로서 진정성을 예배참여자들과 공유할 때 그들이 집례하는 예전은 회중에게 ‘진짜’가 될 것이다. 예전집례자의 감동적인 예전집례는 결국 그들의 ‘삶으로서의 예배’로부터 기인한다.
