Based on investigations of increasing child and youth violence over the past few years, this study aims to reexamine present approaches and look for new coping and preventative mechanisms. This study focuses in particular on the problems with present approaches, which are are partial and concentrated on ex post facto (after the matter) measures, and thereby less pedagogical. In order to be more pedagogical, they must be holistic and preventative, and schools must be considered as a whole unit. At present, Korean schools are heavily concentrated on competitive educational models, and are not optimal for humane education. As a response to this model, this study calls for a new schooling paradigm in which it bears greater responsibility for human education and equips students to handle the rigors of a proper social life. To that end, this study investigates some meaningful cases in European areas of interest(Germany, Denmark, Sweden), focusing on the Glocksee-Schule case in particular(Germany), and derives relevant insights from it.

최근 지속적으로 악화되고 있는 아동과 청소년 폭력 문제의 실태 파악에 의거, 기존의 대응방식의 문제점을 극복하고 새로운 대응 방안을 모색하고자 했다. 종래의 대응방식의 한계라면 ‘부분적’이며(교사 개개인이나 팀 활동에 의존해 있다는 점에서), 또 ‘사후 조치’에 치우쳐 있다는 것이다. 그런 점에서 덜 교육학적이라 할 수 있다. 교육학적이기 위해서는 전체적-예방적 성격을 띠어야 하고, 그러기 위해서는 학교를 그 기본 단위로 생각해야 한다. 문제를 좀 더 근본적으로 접근하기 위해서 학교를 그 책임의 주체로 내세웠다. 그러나 현재의 학교는 입시경쟁교육에 매몰되어 있고 인간성을 위한 교육에 최적화되어 있지도 않다는 문제를 안고 있기 때문에, 새로운 학교 틀이 불가결하다. 그것은 한마디로 ‘인간성을 위한 학교’이자 ‘사회적 능력’을 함양하는데 초점을 맞춘 학교를 뜻한다. 이를 위해 비교교육학적 시각에서 유럽 문화권(독일, 덴마크, 스웨덴)에서 현안에 의미 있는 학교 사례들을 살피되 글록제 슐레(독일)를 중심으로 다루었으며, 여기에 비추어 문제 해결을 위한 철학과 방법의 단서를 찾고자 했다.
