Using data from 117 early adolescents(5～6 grade of elementary school) who live in low-income area of Busan, the study investigated if there is a difference in early adolescent’s self-satisfaction and self-regulation by gender, if there is some relationship among early adolescent’s whether be alone or not, self-satisfaction, and self-regulation, and if there is a difference in early adolescent’s self-satisfaction and self-regulation by the amount of time be alone. Main results showed that compared with girls, boys had higher self-esteem. And it showed that even if whether be alone or not correlated with self-satisfaction and self-regulation negatively, it had statistically significant negative correlation with only life satisfaction. Also, it showed that early adolescents who have many time be alone had lower life satisfaction than those who have less time be alone. Based on these results, the study discussed various and efficient supportive ways for early adolescents in low-income area.

117명의 부산시 저소득층지역에 거주하는 초기 청소년(초등학생 5～6학년)들을 대상으로 본 연구는 성별에 따라 저소득층지역에 거주하는 초기 청소년들의 자기만족도 및 자기조절능력에 차이가 있는지, 저소득층지역에 거주하는 초기 청소년들의 혼자여부, 자기만족도, 자기조절능력은 관계가 있는지, 그리고 혼자 보내는 시간의 다소(多少)에 따라 저소득층지역에 거주하는 초기 청소년들의 자기만족도 및 자기조절능력에 차이가 있는지를 검증하였다. 주요결과를 보면, 남자가 여자에 비해 자기만족도 중 자아존중감이 더 높았으며, 혼자 여부는 자기만족도와 자기조절능력과 부적인 상관관계를 보였으나, 자기만족도 중 생활만족도와만 통계적으로 유의미한 부적 상관관계를 보였다. 그리고 혼자 보내는 시간이 많은 초기 청소년들이 적게 보내는 초기 청소년들보다 자기만족도 중 생활만족도가 낮았다. 이러한 결과를 토대로 본 연구에서는 저소득층지역 초기 청소년들을 위한 다양하고 효율적 지원방안을 논의하였다.
