If we want to compare the cultures between Japan and Korea, it is crucial to research their perspective of nature. Especially when we pick up “another world” as a topic　to be a problem, it is very important to consider how the nature had been thought to be which influenced structure and formation of spirits in Japan and Korea. This paper focuses on the situation of both perspectives of nature, deeply penetrated the ideas of religion, God and Buddhism, garden, literature, and how big the influence was. It will become apparent that Japan and Korea have different ideas of nature, religion, and literature although they have a long relationship and history for more than a thousand years as neighbor countries.

일본과 한국의 문화를 비교 검토할 경우, 양국⋅양문화의 자연에 대한 시선(자연관)을 자세히 조사하는 것은 필수이다. 특히 ｢이계 의식(異界意識)｣을 문제 삼을 경우에 대표적 인 ｢이계｣로서 일한양국의 정신구조와 그 형식에 많은 영향을 준 자연 본연의 모습에 대한 검토는 매우 중요한 사안이다. 본 논문에서는 양국⋅양문화의 자연관이 종교관, 신불관(神仏観), 정원관, 문학관에 깊이 침투된 양상과 영향에 대하여 논했다. 여기에서 알 수 있었던 것은 일한 양국⋅양문 화의 모습은 인접 국가로서 천 년 이상에 이르는 역사와 교류가 있으면서도 크게 다른 자연관・종교관⋅문학관을 소유하게 되었다는 것이다.

日本と韓国の文化を比較検討する場合、両国・両文化の自然への眼差し(自 然観)を精査しておくことは必須である。とりわけ｢異界意識｣を問題にする場 合、その代表的な｢異界｣として、日韓両国の精神構造とその形成に、強い影 響を与えた自然の在り方の検討は、極めて重要な問題である。本稿では、両 国・両文化の自然観が、宗教観、神仏観、庭園観、文学観に深く浸透した様 相と、その影響の大きさについて論じる。そこから浮かび上がって来るの は、隣国として千年以上に及ぶ歴史と交流がありつつも、大きく異なった自 然観・宗教間・文学観を持つに至った両国・両文化の姿であった。
