This study was conducted for getting an useful information to increase the rate of physical activity in children and adolescents with developmental disabilities by identifying the barriers and facilitators associated with physical activity programs. 152 parents of individuals with developmental disabilities were recruited for this study. Open typed questionnaire of investigatory method was used through qualitative methodology and data were analysed using inductive contents analysis. The facilitators for physical activity participation were revealed in order as 'excellence of program', 'effectiveness of program', 'adjustment of participation', 'appropriateness of environment', 'excellence of instructor'. However, the barriers were shown in order as 'decline of quality of program', 'lack of instructor's ability', 'maladjustment of participants', 'dissatisfaction of parents', 'inadequacy of participation environment'.
