The purpose of this study is to research the character factors that are included in Baduk. The results of researching Baduk character factors in documentations, Baduk proverbs and playing situation are the followings. First, the character factors that are discovered in the documentations are human duty, tao and virtue, humanity․justice․propriety․wisdom, self reflection, moderation, golden mean, modesty and wisdom. Second, the character factors in Baduk proverbs present moderation, self-control, understanding of others, creativity and self-understanding. Third, the character factors that appear in playing process are proved to include all KEDI’s 10 character factors; self-respect, faithfulness, consideration and communication, responsibility, courtesy, self-control, honesty and courage, wisdom, justice and citizen attitudes.

이 연구는 바둑에 내재한 인성 요인을 고찰하는데 목적이 있다. 문헌 속의 바둑 인성 요인, 바 둑 격언에 나타난 인성 덕목, 대국 상황에서 나타나는 인성 덕목을 조사한 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 문헌 속에 나타난 인성 덕목으로는 인간의 도리, 도와 덕, 정의, 인의예지, 자기성찰, 절제, 중용, 겸손, 지혜가 있었다. 둘째, 바둑 격언에 내재된 인성 요인은 절제, 자기조절, 타인의 이해, 창의성, 자기이해로 나 타났다. 셋째, 대국과정에서 나타나는 인성 요인은 한국교육개발원(KEDI)의 10가지 인성 덕목인 자기 존중, 성실, 배려와 소통, 책임, 예의, 자기조절, 정직과 용기, 지혜, 정의, 시민성을 모두 포함하 고 있음을 규명하였다.
