현재 다문화가정의 자녀는 204,204명(행정자치부, 2015년 1월 1일 기준)으로 초기 다문화 사회 진입하여 급증한 다문화가정 자녀들이 취학연령에 진입하였고, 중도입국자녀들의 수도 지속적으로 증가하는 등 다문화 사회 진입에 따른 인종적, 민족적, 문화적 다양성은 학교공간에도 점차 반영되는 추세이며, 최근 한국사회 내 출산율이 감소함에 따라 다문화가정의 영향은 한국 사회 청소년의 인구구성에도 적지 않은 변화를 줄 것으로 예상하고 있다. 앞으로도 다문화가정이 지속적으로 증가할 전망으로, 특히 이들에서 태어난 자녀들에 대한 비행 및 피해, 범죄발생 및 피해, 범죄예방 및 보호를 위한 전략적인 정책이 필요한 실정이다. 이러한 연구의 필요성에 기인하여 이 연구에서는 다문화가정 청소년의 비행의 경험 및 피해 경험 실태를 살펴보고, 이들이 가지고 있는 비행의 위험성뿐만 아니라 비행의 피해에 어느 정도 노출되어 있는가, 또한 어떠한 요인들이 이들의 비행 및 비행 피해에 영향을 주는가를 살펴보기 위해서 실증적 분석을 실시하였다. 이를 위해 이 연구에서는 선행연구의 검토를 통하여 다문화가정 청소년의 비행위험성 요인을 국가관 및 문화요인(국가정체성, 이중문화수용태도, 문화적응스트레스), 학교생활 및 친구요인(교우관계적응 및 친구의지지, 교사와의 관계적응 및 교사의지지, 학교생활정도, 비행친구정도), 개인심리적 요인(자아존중감, 자아탄력성, 삶의 만족도)를 중심으로 살펴보았다. 실증적 분석의 결과 다음과 같이 나타났다. 첫째, 다문화가정 청소년의 비행위험성 요인인 ‘국가관 및 문화요인’의 하위요인에서는 ‘국가정체성’이, 학교생활 및 친구요인의 하위요인에서는 ‘교사의지지, 비행친구정도’가, 개인심리적 요인에서는 ‘자아탄력성’이 비행경험에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 비행경험에 미치는 영향력은 ‘국가정체성, 교사의지지, 비행친구정도, 자아탄력성’의 순으로 나타났다. 둘째, 다문화가정 청소년의 비행위험성 요인인 ‘개인심리적 요인’의 하위요인에서는 ‘삶의 만족도’가, 학교생활 및 친구요인의 하위요인에서는 ‘친구의 지지’가 비행피해 경험에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 비행피해 경험에 미치는 영향력은 ‘삶의 만족도, 친구의 지지’의 순으로 나타났다. 셋째, 다문화가정 청소년의 비행피해 경험 요인은 비행경험에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.
